Our Approach
Launched in 2013, our approach represents a commitment that redefines excellence in transport and logistics! SMTI goes beyond aligning economic performance with ethics: we have built an ambitious sustainable development strategy that positions us as a leader in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and innovation within our sector. Day by day, through concrete actions and relentless continuous improvement, we are building a forward-looking business model—sustainable, fully transparent, and ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges without ever compromising our values.
The Sustainable Development Journey at SMTI
SMTI’s Sustainable Development (SD) journey is a strategic voyage, tracing a remarkable path towards fully integrated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) aligned with international excellence.
The journey began in 2013 with the foundation stone: obtaining ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification. This milestone not only secured our economic performance but also demonstrated our commitment to efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Continuing our commitment to the Social pillar, SMTI elevated its standards in 2017 with Occupational Health & Safety certification (initially OHSAS 18001, then ISO 45001), placing the protection of human capital at the heart of our priorities.
In 2021, SMTI achieved a decisive milestone in ethics and global governance. We obtained dual prestigious recognition: Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status, demonstrating the reliability and compliance of our supply chain, and TRACE certification, cementing our unwavering commitment to anti-corruption and transparent governance.
Integration of global environmental issues was realized in 2023 with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, embracing the third pillar of sustainable development. In 2024, we further reinforced our commitment by joining the United Nations Global Compact, publicly committing to the Ten Universal Principles and actively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide.
SMTI demonstrates that sustainability is far more than compliance: it is a path of excellence where each certification is a structured step towards positive impact and lasting performance.
